Nashville, Tenn. — August 1, 2017 — TN HIMSS today announced the election of its next President-Elect and the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors.

New member’s join the society’s board, effective July 1, 2017:

  • President-Elect – Eric Thrailkill, VP and CIO of Ambulatory Services, Envision Healthcare; taking office July 1, 2018 for a two-year term.
  • Ambassador Liaison Board Member – Caleb Dixon, Senior Director Business & Analytics Development, Ascension
  • Board Member at Large – Jennifer Bradley, Associate Partner, Buffkin/Baker
  • Board Member at Large – Kelly Aldrich, Chief Clinical Transformation Officer, Center for Medical Interoperability

“I’m honored to have been chosen to lead the TN HIMSS chapter,” said Eric Thrailkill, Vice President and CIO of Ambulatory Services, Envision Healthcare. “Our chapter has a rich history of collaboration and education, with membership derived from many of the leading healthcare provider organizations in the country, as well as the associated healthcare ecosystem. This membership continues to play a key role in the transformation to value and aligns with the National HIMSS vision of Better Health Through Information Technology.”

The newly-elected board leadership and members will serve a two-year term and Thraikill stated that he “looks forward to working with our Officers, our highly-respected Board of Directors, our existing stakeholders and our new members as we execute the Chapter strategies.”

The TN HIMSS Chapter and Health:Further are preparing to deliver the region’s premier annual healthcare information technology event, the Summit of the Southeast at the Health:Further Festival at Nashville’s Music City Center on August 22-25, 2017. This unique four-day event will gather industry leaders and visionaries throughout the nation and provide more education and professional development opportunities.
